Interdental Brushes
Interdental brushes are often suggested if the patient is wearing braces, aligners or have dental implants. The principle of interdental brushes is much the same as with floss threads but the patient requires a more restricted access to the teeth. For example, interdental brushes would be used on a patient who has a bridge between implants as normal floss would not give access from all sides. A thorough clean can be achieved with brushes approaching each side of the tooth in turn, rather than inside and outside the tooth simultaneously.
You can find brands such as Icon and Tepe on our website and come in various sizes, coded by colour. This denotes the gap between teeth so that the user can use the interdental brush comfortably.
