Flossing
Your dentist and hygienist will recommend that you floss your teeth at least once a day. The reason for this is that plaque builds up easily, especially around the lower teeth. Plaque disrupts the health of both your gums and your teeth leading to bad breath and eventually to decay. Regular check-ups with your dentist will help to prevent plaque growth but flossing once a day will keep your teeth and gums healthy and bright.
If you find flossing difficult, you may wish to consider using a Waterpik or a Philips Airfloss. Both are excellent at cleaning between the teeth.
Flossing threads can be coated or waxed and cost from £3.
